What is the Center of Student Diversity?
Towson University’s Center of Student Diversity is a department that focuses on spreading diversity awareness around the university. They plan events for different cultural groups that are for both entertainment and educational purposes. They extend out not only to different races but also different groups of people such as homosexuals.

What are some active organizations in the CSD?
The Black Student Union (BSU), The Caribbean Student Association (CSA), and Latin American Student Association (LASO) are just a few. You can see the rest at: http://www.towson.edu/diversity/organizations.asp

How can I join an organization?
To join a student organization, simply show up to the events and become an active member in the group community through events, meetings, and projects.

Who is Raft Woodus?
Raft Woodus serves as Director of Student Success Programs. He is responsible for the Community Enrichment and Enhancement Partnership (CEEP) Award Program and the Students Achieve Goals through Education (SAGE) Program. He is always willing to help a student in need. His office is in the back of the Center of Student Diversity office.

Where is the CSD office located?
It is on the third floor in room 313 of the University Union building down the right hallway just beyond the Towerlight office.  Their office hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30a.m – 5p.m

What do CSD organizations do?
The Center of Student Diversity organizations hold events, meetings, and fundraisers for different reasons based on each organization. Some hold events so students can learn, some events are simply for enjoyment. The most common theme between each organization is holding weekly meetings to discuss different topics based on culture and differences.

What are the benefits of joining a group?
Being in the different groups will not only increase your knowledge about different cultures or your own, but present you with different opportunities to add things to your resume. Each group has committee positions that allow you to do different things based on the position taken. Also, it is a great way to connect with other students around campus.
